EPGP Rules and Loot System
EPGP Rules Rationale and Basic Concept EPGP is based on the concept of Effort Points and Gear Points. Effort Points quantify the effort each member put towards the (common) guild goals and Gear Points quantify what each member got back in return. Loot priority is computed as the quotient of the two; priority (PR) is equal to EP/GP. EPGP is by definition self-balanced since priority (and hence chance to receive loot) is relational and directly proportional to the effort you put and inversely proportional to the rewards you received. This page is designed to give you basic information on Warfare's EPGP system. If you are looking for more detailed information on how EPGP works, please visit the EPGP website. Addons Links below open in a new window/tab. EPGP Lootmaster (required): This is the addon that puts popup windows on your screen, allowing you to bid on loot. EPGP (DKP Reloaded) (optional): This is the core addon and allows you to view everyone's standings in-game. Point Changes EP can be affected through multiple activities: Awarded:

EP/GP Decay Another twist in EPGP, which makes it different than other loot systems, is the fact that EP and GP decay over time. With a decay of 7%, after each raid week, each member gets her EP and GP reduced by 15%. This eliminates EP (DKP) hoarding. Other Parameters Minimum EP – Members must meet the minimum EP requirement before they are allowed to bid on an item. Requiring a minimum EP insures that new members put in effort before they are eligible for loot. Warfare has set the minimum EP requirement at 7500. Base GP – Base GP prevents new recruits or long time inactive members from trumping dedicated members just because their GP is 0 and thus their PR infinite. Warfare’s base GP is 1500. Loot Bidding Every raid member will need to have the EPGP lootmaster addon installed and running for all guild raids he/she attends. Using this addon, you will have several different options in a popup window whenever loot drops. Each option will be worth a different percentage of the item’s full GP value, and you should quickly choose the option that best suits you. The master looter will receive a list of each raider who bid, and will loot the item accordingly. Each item’s GP value is determined using a set formula based on item level and slot. You can read more about this here.
Clarification on Mainspec vs. Sidegrade Mainspec is the option you will use for almost all of your gear purchases, and is fairly self explanatory. The Sidegrade option is designed for the occasion where you'd like flexibility to move stats around (like hit rating or expertise) or accumulate a second set of gear that focuses on one stat more heavily (dodge set, mp5 set, etc). Likely you will not use this option often; some of you may never use it. You may NOT use this because you simply want to purchase a significant upgrade at a discounted cost. The item level restriction is there to help ensure correct use of this option. Be aware that ALL Mainspec bids from Raiders will take precedence over Sidegrade bids. You are always welcome to select Mainspec instead of Sidegrade if the item is important to you and you'd like to improve your chances of winning it. Raider MS > Raider SG > Trial MS > Trial SG > OS Raider > OS Trial > Greed (all ranks) > DE Exceptions Keys/Attunements These will go to officers first, for obvious reasons. If there is a gear upgrade associated with the item (similar to the Malygos Key from WotLK), appropriate GP values will be charged. If not (similar to the Ulduar Algalon Key), the item will be rolled for free. Once all officers are keyed, the item will be open to distribution to other ranks in the same manner it was open to officers (ie EPGP if a gear upgrade and free rolls if not). Vanity Items Will be rolled to Veteran Raiders/Officers first. Please note that our Veteran rank is for vanity items only and has no influence whatsoever on the distribution of gear upgrades or other EPGP loot. Vanity items that have no impact on your raid performance will not have any EPGP charges associated with them. Players may win a maximum of two vanity items per teir. Officer = Veteran Raider > Raider > Sub/Trial Legendary Items All legendary items will be distributed via Officer Loot Council and appropriate GP values will be charged. Example Screenshots Here's an example of the popup window you will see: ![]() The master looter will see a popup window that looks like this: ![]() Sunna can take Putiputi's EP away at any time for any reason. This also applies to Kantha.
